Pink Floyd founding member Richard "Rick" Wright passed away today "after a short struggle with cancer," according to a statement posted on band’s website. He was 65. Wright served in early incarnations of the band and was a part of Pink
Floyd when the outfit first emerged under that moniker in 1965. He
primarily worked as a keyboardist, though he also contributed vocals
and has numerous songwriting credits on a number of Pink Floyd’s
records, including Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.
Pink Floyd – Time
live in London 1994
This is Time (The Dark Side of the Moon, 1973), from Pink Floyd, live at P.U.L.S.E; recorded at Earls Court, London, in 1994. Roger Waters, one of the the composers of Time, is not in this show.
Current members of Pink Floyd are: David Gilmour (guitars, lead vocals) • Richard Wright (keyboards, secondary vocals, backing vocals) • Nick Mason (drums, percussion);

When I got my first keyboard the first thing I
tried to do was play along with Dark Side of
the Moon. There are ‘influences’ on any artist, then there are the maestros who navigate the musical waters, defining routes and creating maps that others will follow.
From my first LSD experience to the playlist
set up for my own funeral service, Pink Floyd
has been woven through my existence like a
golden thread. Rest In Peace, brother.
