Detektivbyrån – En annan typ av disco [Audio Porn FM]
There are far too few tunes with accordion that make it to our posts. So I thought I’d do something about it.
Meet Detektivbyrån (The Detective Agency) – also referred to as DBY – a three-piece-band from Gothenburg, Sweden. And a lovely combo of instrumental folk, indie, electronica and dance that’ll simply blow you away.
Detektivbyrån was formed in 2005 and in 2006 they released their critically acclaimed EP, “Hemvägen Ep”, which caused quite a stir when it was released. All over the world, in fact.
Their full-length debut album entitled “Wermland” was released last month. And even if their publicist lays it on a tad too thick for the band’s own good in the press release, the album is a charming little job, reproducing the little nuances of life with astounding success.
Here’s a lovely little track from the album, called "En annan typ av disco" (Another kind of disco). Put it on, hug your baby, watch the stars twinkle under the night sky and let the soothing sounds of Detektivbyrån tuck you in.
