Raphael Saadiq – Big easy [Audio Porn FM]
Have to admit I’m out on deep water here. Because modern Soul & R&B isn’t really my thing. Not to mention Neo Soul (WTF??!!)… But I do know a great artist when I see or hear one. And Raphael Saadiq fits the bill.
You might remember Tony! Toni! Toné! from the early 90s. I know I do, because that surely has to be one of the lamest group names I’ve ever heard. Never listened to them tho. Anyway, one of the T:s was Raphael Wiggins, who later changed his name to Raphael Saadiq and went on to work with artists such as D’Angelo, Joss Stone, John Legend, and many more.
On his fourth solo ablum, "The way I see it", released last month, he collaborates with, among others, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z and Joss Stone.
Here’s a nifty little 60s soul job from the album, called "Big easy". Me likes. Hope you do too.
