This latest 60 minute mix showcases some of my favorite sounds of the moment – music that I am hammering in the clubs, and I love both on a musical level and for sheer dancefloor impact. Almost all the tracks are mixed harmonically, thanks to an amazing piece of software called Mixed In Key which tags your music with the key and tempo for each song, and gives you ideas for songs that mix together well.

The mix starts out with some filthy electro-house and soon switches into progressive territory with Deadmau5 – listen to the combination of the Deadmau5 track and the Stupid Fresh remix – the tracks speak to each other in a really interesting call and response manner with the melodic and rhythmic elements.

For me, a good DJ mix needs to combine a few different splinter genres and mix things up a bit., maneuvering through peaks and valleys. however, in this mix i went fairly heavy into the minimal progressive house that’s been my favorite sound of the moment – guys like Style of Eye. Almost all of my favorite producers of the moment on are on this mix, like D.O.N.S. and EDX. What’s up with all the mysterious acronyms anyway? Enjoy the mix and play it loud!
