For the second edition of its Inspiration Information series, Strut Records' tapped legendary reggae crooner, Horace Andy and career house producer Ashley Beedle. What might seem an odd pairing on paper makes more sense as an album, as the X-Press 2 member cooks up flexible riddims over which Andy dribbles jah wisdom. Babylon You Lose plugs standard reggae sounds — dubby guitar upstrokes and bass wobble — into 21st century production and sounds surprisingly fresh for it.
