Depeche Mode is inviting all budding DJs and aspiring producers out there to make their single better to remix the band’s single Peace , taken from their new album Sounds of the Universe . The winning remix will be released on Beatport through Mute Records and other prices are: a Native Instruments Maschine, a Jazzmutant Lemur, a Pacemaker, a V-Moda headphones and $250 Beatport gift car. We hope that these ‘selling the stems for money’ system will lead us to legalizing mashups. Kinnda ‘buy the stems use them for whatever you want’ sort of way. Let’s see what will happen in few month yeatrs with this. We hope it’s not just another rip off.
