Mille – Stargazers
« The Hundred in the Hands – Undressed in Dresden (Jacques Renault remix) | main | do you like square butts? »Seven years back, the then 20 year old Mille from Stockholm, Sweden, managed to get one of his house tracks on a electronic/techno VA compilation – ”X marks the spot 2” – comprising several among the usual Swedish electro/dance suspects, including Håkan Lidbo, Stonebridge, and Spånka NKPG.
Usually, that’d be a great way to start your musical career. But Mille decided to jump ship and head for other pastures.

– Yeah, I thought I’d give my daytime job proper chance and focus on developing my 3D graphic skills. I run a 3D/animation company with a few friends in Stockholm. But I never really left the music… Or rather – the music never really left me…
With the business in full and successful operation, a few months back Mille decided to give the music another proper go and started to write songs again.
- My influences are from all over the place. I like almost any kind of music. But what I’m truly down with is the music from my childhood, the golden 80s! Pop had a really special groove back then, and rock was nothing if not glammy…
You needn’t be a rocket scientist to grasp where at least some of Mille’s inspiration comes from. Think: “The Electro House that Super Mario Built”…
- Haha… yeah, music from most of the video games I played back then seems to sneak its way into my own stuff nowadays. I can’t really help it. C64, Mega Drive, you name it – I played it. And it’s no secret that nostalgia plays an important part in my music. But I do find inspiration elsewhere as well. The French house scene and some of their producers, for instance.
It’s hard to talk about and describe music. So, I suggest you give it a spin yourselves. But let me give it a final go: “Beverly Hills 90510 meets SEGA. In France… Kinda…” :D
