Open Labs introduced the DBeat – a new portable DJ focused music production workstation that offers iPod integration, a multi-touch touchscreen interface and traditional MPC-style pads. The DBeat will be available for $3,999 USD ($3,499 for pre-orders) in June 2009, directly through Open Labs website or through an authorized resellers. After the jump we have an interesting video, Open Labs co-founder Victor Wong visits The Crystal Method at their studio in LA, and shows them DBeat.

yeah man, this thing is crazy…I had my eyes on the MiKo
and still do, but this is looking sexy.
It’s portable and still has 90% of the power of the Miko
and Neko boards.
It looks like it’s about the same size or smaller than
my mpc 4k, so it wouldn’t take much space.
hook up and external keyboard controller and we’re good to go.
