YouTube shamelessly ripped off Kutiman
« MYNX – Out of Sight, Out of Mind EP OUT NOW!!! | main | Record Store Day on this Saturday »YouTube Symphony Orchestra – Internet Symphony
The world’s fave geobanning video sharing system shamelessly ripped off the most brilliant idea we seen in ages. Above you can watch the promo video of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra’s Internet Symphony and if you not lived in a cave without wi-fi I’m sure that you’ve seen Kutiman’s amazing Thru You.
Yes, the unique idea of editing different people’s music videos into one new compostition, nice isn’t it?
Do we have to say more?
And please note, Kutiman researched, invested time and energy to find the footages, while the YouTube got the Symphony Orcherstra materials ready and sent in from the applicants. I hope at least they payed off the video editor, was the bill more than 16 $ ?
Kutiman – Thru You (the full series)

It’s look like the 2004’s works of Giovanni Sample or, in a way, like the 1996 “Cyberdelic” from L’Œil du cyclone. The Kutiman’s original part is to use Youtube footage. But on Youtube you can find things that were on TV before and you will recognize the drums player in Giovanni Sample “Drums Unlimited” since the first track as he appears in Kutiman’s works. I’m almost sure that we could find musical video mashup before 1996.
At the same time than Kutiman, runs the projet “In Bb 2.0″ witch looks more like the “Internet Symphony” as Youtube users are volunteer. But, in “Bb 2.0″, you’re the conductor.
