The .MUSIC domain name extension has received over 560,000 signatures from the at-large music community and fans for gathering support to release the .music generic top-level-domain (gTLD), trailing only to the 1.25 million signatures gathered in the “Free Tibet” petition. This public support will accompany the Music.us bid for .music that will be given to ICANN for acceptance. Projected release date is early 2010.
