It’s official. Supergroups is indeed the new black. Here’s a new Swedish combo called Tutankamon fronted by Peter Morén of Peter, Bjorn and John fame.
Together with members from Shout Out Louds, The Concretes, and The Plan, he delivers a rather organic power-poppy retro sound not that far from the one Peter, Bjorn and John used to have, before turning all arty farty and deep. Possibly, Tutankamon are a bit more rootsy, though.
Have a listen to their debut single, Have You Ever Been in Love here – then head over to Spotify and listen to the full album (in stores next week). Even if the single’s a tad charming, I’m not entirely convinced myself. Let me know your thoughts.

hmmmm
this is boring
sorry to say
supergroups are agains the evolution of music :)
agree on the boring part – not necessarily on the super group part tho.
surely new co-labs – super or not – is kind of an evolution? and it allows the artists to try new ideas not fitting their current format.
one can just hope they do better than Peter & co, tho.
mmm… like the Velvet Underground guitary thang goin’ on but it’s lacking attitude… Shades of Television here also…
