… last Friday OK Go premiered a stunt-heavy music video for the new single This Too Shall Pass, featuring a cast of 200 — including the Notre Dame marching band — who perform the tune in one take, with some fun surprises along the way. Alas, though, the video has so far only acquired about 10,500 views, which is surely disappointing to the band, yet easily explained: The video is geoblocked by Capitol Records in many international locations, and embedding in all regions has been disabled…

how do you wanna sell something , when you don’t allow the fans to see it?
there are zillion creative ways to spread the world about great bands
but not letting the fans to get what they want is a new way to get hype
seems to work BTW, cos everybody is talking about this now
congrats to everyone involved
the next step should be this
- upload any video, really anything, nobody will see it anyway
- geoban it, but allow Antarctica
- post images of happy penguins to the complaining fans
your new hype is ready
or you can say that the video been left in a balloon, but it floated away
