Hurts come from Manchester England and play a kind of emotional (new-)romantic synth pop that really takes you back to times of yore. Yet, they do it with a refreshing, modern take. What’s even more refreshing is that they have the good taste to call in old NYC fave Arthur Baker to transform their mellow debut Wonderful Life into a smashing electro pop masterpiece that’ll make you lose your breath.
