I was hesitating and thinking about to post the new M.I.A vid
not because I have something against viral hype or sensation hunting
but because the song is not as good as I expected from her
the video is disturbingly genius, shocking and viralish
will inspire many arguments, but hey, what about the music?
or am I the only one who doesnt like the song?

I had to listen to the song a few times but the music is awesome.
I love it.
By the way it is available for free!

when I’ve first heard it I thought its a demo :-/
Another great job from mr Gavras, but for the song… erm. I just don’t like it.
To me it’s like some nina hagen’s vocals on a passed away freeparty sound system.
erf, I’ve just read that the song uses samples from ghost riders a 1977 suicide’s song…
It kinda borders on being digigrind. i can see most MIA fans being turned off.
I’m going through kinda similar thoughts…
Wow that video is tops even if its a play on the last Rambo movie. But for the song. really sound like the producer was half ass’n it. I think it need a major remastering. It has a lot of potential i just don’t like it where its at right now.
I liked the first M.I.A. album.
…but I like this “direction” better then her second album.
Even if I have to admit, this track doesn’t sound finished. (Just as Funk’Frosty said.)
The video is (almost :) ) perfect!
The track fits well with the video, which is its biggest weakness. It doesn’t sound like it can stand on its own.
Seems like M.I.A. is doing all that she can to avoid the mainstream while keeping her place in alternative culture.
And I’m down with that.
