APC @ Iceland Airwaves – day three and four
« APC @ Iceland AirwavesHURTS – Stay | main | APC @ Iceland Airwaves – day five »

OK, I’m still alive and still in Reykjavik
due to huge network collapse there is no Internet in my hotel for two days
and all the public wifi systems are way too busy and slow
but I got myself a table at Hressó to make this report for you guys
day three – Friday
first I went to see the documentary Backyard
as I told you already this is a sweet movie about the Icelandic music scene
Arni of FM Belfast decided to drop an open air concert
in the tiny backyard of their studio bungallow
in a about the size of two pingpong tables
neat idea for sure
he teamed up with his mates
invited friend’s bands and they’ve made the gig
yes, it’s not a complicated story
but the movie itself give you the ultimate inside view of Icelandic music scene
and you will learn more about it than from any blog posts
Backyard is a MUST SEE for everyone involved with music
to realize how spoiled most of us musicans are
to see these internationally loved bands in their hometown
and to wanna come to Iceland after the screening immediately
Backyard is the best promo for Iceland
much better than any official commercial
after the screening Reykjavik! and FM Belfast played few songs in the cinema
and it was funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
at the evening I went to see Hjaltalin at NASA
they were brill just as I remembered
and being in their hometown added a special flavour
then I went to the Art Museum to see Hurts
and well, ehmmmm
we are famous of not writing bad things about anything
cos we simply do not write or post bad things
so I keep this great habbit
let’s say Hurts was more than dissapointing
we are guilty of overhyping them, sorry we won’t do it again ;)
day four – Saturday
because of my lounge space disco DJ gig I’ve only seen Robyn yesterday
she was kool, just as I expected it
a lotta energy, a lotta moves, smart show, 100% Robyn
today is Sunday
my only mission was to write this post
and to see FM Belfast at NASA
see you there if you are around

I’ve been following APC for a couple of years, I just moved 2 weeks ago to Reykjavik for work, I doubt I’ll leave!
FM Belfast were my favourite band of airwaves, their music is good recorded but live; it is unbelievable. I can’t wait to see them again :D
