I believe every single tune from Robyn’s magic 2010 could’ve made this list – but I had to draw the line somewhere. A-Trak’s remix was the best of them all.
#04 Chromeo – Don’t turn the lights on (Aeroplane remix) [link]
Smoooooth job by Aeroplane on one of the best singles of the year.
#05 Marcos Cabral – Lifetime Groove [link]
Another magic re-make. This time of New Edition’s old smoofie. Magic Cabral

These wonderful Mancs jumped on the scene from practically out of nowhere – and employing good ol’ Arthur for this mix is nothing short of brilliant. Love it!

The first of many many wonderful cover versions this year. Clubfeet’s version of James’ old “Say something” is simply lovely.

Aaah. Yeasayer charmed the hell out of me and probably the rest of the world. Not least with this lovely aching little electro number. Huge!

A major surprise for me and the most beautiful tune of 2010. End of.

Magic comeback by B&S. Pop at its best.
#11 jj – Let Go [link]
JJ are amazing. They keep on pumping out tunes that take you an entirely different time and place. I love them.
#12 Hot Chip – I feel better (Ill Blue Dub) [link]
Brilliant single by HC, in a tremendously cool Ill Blue dub – the best in a long line of great remixes of this tune.
#13 Noisettes – Ever Fallen In Love With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve [link]
My favorite track in an excellent cover version. Has been on repeat since I’ve heard it first.
#14 Kid Kasio – Not for turning [link]
Probably the biggest surprise on this list – but I’ve played Kid Kasio’s tune at least once a day since I heard it first. So it had to end up here. Brilliant electro pop.

Now, this is how hard pumping night driving electro should sound. Ok?

Yet another surprise for me. I never thought I’d put it in a year top list, but this one’s constantly growing.

Yup. Another cover version. This time of PSB’s classic “It’s a sin”. Utterly brilliant.
