West-Balkán is/was the underground superclub of Budapest. The club is in the center of Budapest, in a formal department store. Three floors plus a balcony with great view. The West-Balkán club had many location, they opened this new place in March 2010. Even if the club’s capacity can handle 2000-3000 people, the stairway between the floors was not built for such a massive traffic, and this was probably the direct reason of the tragedy, besides of the decision of the organizers, who let much more people in than the place can handle.
