EMULATOR is a DJ software designed to work with tablet PCs created by Pablo Martin. It’s a multitouch MIDI controller (for Windows 7), software where you have all what you need on same screen and combine the power of multitouch, the useful standard mouse and the native interface of software to be controlled all in one nice and useful GUI, first version 1.0 include layout 100% compatible with Traktor Pro internal mode, future upgrades include Traktor Internal mode and new layouts for Deckadance, Virtual Dj, Ableton and more.

The big screen thinggy on the video is called Token, developed by Yöyen Munchausen. It’s a large multitouch screen interface aimed at performance. The beauty of it is that you can see both sides, thus the viewer can see exactly what the DJ is doing.

Any changes made to the controllers on your phone are transmitted over the WIFI network to a receiving computer using either OSC messages or its own FingerPlay format. The MIDI messages can then be sent to any music software capable of receiving MIDI input.

Livid Instruments has quietly introduced a new MIDI Controller, Code.

Livid hasn’t made an official announcement about Code yet, but with 32 continuous controllers, it should complement matrix-style controllers very nicely. And with MIDI In/Out, Code could be the ultimate expansion box for hardware synths.

Brooklyn, New York artist and musician Jameson Proctor (aka JP1971) released MxNM LE for the launch of the Apple iPad App Store.  MxNM LE (for Mix N Match MIDI Live Edition) was designed to bring wireless touchscreen control to Ableton Live. It does so by sending industry standard MIDI control change messages over a local WiFI network; therefore it can be used with many other popular audio and MIDI applications as well with minimal configuration. MxNM LE offers a total of 135 buttons, pads, and sliders, making it a perfect companion for your laptop to perform and produce computer music.

MxNM LE is the first in a series of controllers Proctor plans to release for Appleʼs innovative tablet computing platform. Future releases will include a studio mixer controller and a DJ controller as well as MxNM, which will take the mix and match idea to its logical conclusion by offering the user a fully reconfigurable control surface.

no secret that my heart beats faster when a Vestax DJ unit is around
my very first DJ mixer was a Vestax unit long long long time ago

the biggest surprise for me was the VMC-600BLK
the original model is one of my fave controllers
but this new black version is even sexier
all I can say is: TOTALLY WANT
