Late last week, M-Audio announced the arrival of the ProFire 610 FireWire interface, which takes the features of the ever-popular FireWire 410 to new levels.

The FireWire 410 has long been a staple both in studios and DJ gig bags thanks to its performance and portability.

New features in the ProFire 610 include 24-bit/192kHz audio resolution, M-Audio Octane preamp technology and onboard DSP mixing.

The ProFire 610 interface is currently expected to ship in the next month or so and carry an MSRP of $499.95. US
