Think your Guitar Hero skills can withstand the spotlight at a massive U.K. music festival? Fans of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will get a chance to strut their stuff on the main stage at this year’s three-day Isle of Wight Festival, which starts Friday, with the best contestants getting projected on the grounds’ big screens.
"We’re delighted to have Guitar Hero at the festival. A few years ago, this sort of activity would have seemed out of place," said festival organizer John Giddings in a statement. "Guitar Hero has shown that videogames are for more than just the hard-core gamers. The game provides so much entertainment, we’re bringing it into as many aspects of the festival as possible."
