What would the pioneers of jazz sound like on a Nintendo Entertainment System? Coltrane on a C-64? Mingus on Amiga? Wondered what “chiptune jazz” would sound like? Well, there are only a tiny handful of jazz covers ever made. But you can change this! Kind of Bloop is a very nice project by Andy Baio. This will be a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Miles Davis’s Kind of Blue . They hope to find funding by fans, so they can release the album legally, pay the licences and the artists. You can select between different levels of donations, make sure to check it out. Go and help them! I think it’s a pretty kool way to set up a music project, so we are happy to spread the world about this!

Iggy‘s new project will be an ambient classical jazz album dedicated to a French novel wialled Préliminaires . You can follow the happenings about the album on it’s own blog . This press conference took place in Paris few weeks ago, and it’s a pretty interesting to watch, but if you wanna hear Iggy singing jazz in French, just jump to 14:40.

We’ve found FoUnd caKe iN My PaNTsu at Fairtilizer and we became fans immediately. We always loved japanese fure jazz, stuff from UFO and Nobukazu Takemura to name only few great artists. The Human Nature reminds us very much of them so there was no doubt about posting them. The band itself is a mystery to us at the moment, but we will do a little investigation and get back to you with more info. Meanwhile enjoy Human Nature here and on the AudioPorn FM.

First opening In 1967, in its early years, Montreux
was solely jazz and solely hardcore soul improv sessions hosted in a
casino.Throughout the 70s- Montreux was an organic music utopia; you
would walk out of the casino at dawn as the sun began to rise over the
pearly waters ahead- and as your head buzzed from hours of intense live
sessions.  And back when albums took a year to record, rock stars like
David Bowie retreated here to immerse themselves in music all year
long. Charlie Chaplin spent time here- Freddie Mercury lived and died
there (there’s a Freddie Mercury memorial day in fact.) It’s safe to
say a music icon has walked each stone of that blessed waterfront. These days, Montreux is largely a quiet and quaint town- except when
the Jazz festival comes to town. From the 4th to the 19th of July,
Montreux buzzes with people, melodies, beer, wine, crepes and all
things sweet and savory. This year, they also reeled in some of the
