Here’s the best kept secret in the Swedish music industry at the moment. jj turned up in March this year practically out of nowhere and stunned us with a charming debut EP, “jj n° 1″. In July they returned with their brilliant debut album “jj n° 2″ – and things will never been the same again…

What we do know is that they hail from Gothenburg and from the excellent little Sincerly Yours label, owned by the Tough Alliance and including other little gems such as Air France and Honeydrips. So if you’re familiar with any of them, I suspect you might have a feeling for what’s on offer here.

If not, let me try to help you. This is probably my track of the year, so far. A dreamy, esoteric and utterly enchanting pop lament with lovely harmonies and achingly beautiful strings. Not to mention touching wistful lyrics… It’s just perfect for the spot of melancholy Indian Summer that seems to have hit us here in Sweden at the moment. Enjoy. And a lovely weekend to you all.
