Junior Boys – Hazel
Begone Dull Care, the remarkable new album from the duo of Jeremy Greenspan and Matthew Didemus, known as Junior Boys, is set for a UK release on 11th May 2009. The album will be preceded by a single, Hazel on 20th April. But the guys at Motormouthmedia are so kool, look they sent this little gift for you dear AudioPornographers. Hazel will be available to buy online on March 3rd. Oh, and you can download it for free if you preorder the Begone Dull Care album on iTunes. Meanwhile listen it here on APC, turn it really LOUD. The boys are deffo back in town.

Stereo Image – Exposure (Extended Dance Remix)
[mp3 RCRD LBL]
Johnny Dark split Junior Boys before their debut album was released to
wide acclaim. So it’s entirely forgivable that Stereo Image, his new
group with synth-popper San Serac, bears a strong resemblance to Last Exit -era
Junior Boys while maintaining its own identity. While the JBs have
trended towards smooth and emotionally drippy pop tunes, Stereo Image
leaves their edges jagged and incorporate an enigmatic, sunglasses at
night mood. Still, the two groups are friendly rivals as evinced by the
inclusion of Stereo Image’s Dark Chapter on Junior Boys’ Body
Language Vol. 6 mix.
This track is our current fave here at the APC. NYC’s very own Morgan Geist teamed up with Jeremy Greenspan of the Junior Boys, so turn this really really loud and laid back. As the Pitchfork says: – Remember the title of Metro Area man Morgan Geist’s years-in-the-making solo jaunt when listening to the Italo-techno-r&b of advance mp3 "The Shore". From the Brooklyn producer’s forthcoming Double Night Time on Environ, this phosphorescent track conjures moonlit desolation rather than tropical idyll, with Junior Boys’ Jeremy Greenspan contributing limpid, mannered vocals (as he does elsewhere on the album). There can be a humbling beauty in walking alone by the water at night, but it’s no day at the beach. -
APC favorite Firefox AK recently released a new album.
Electric, intense, beautiful as Copycat recommended it. Make sure to head over to the Firefox AK space to listen the album and if you are looking for visual pleasures, we got a clip after the jump.
