Body Language Vol. 7 Mixed By Matthew Dear
[CD Amazon]
Matthew’s eagerly-awaited Body Language mix is a very personal selection, and one which reflects his own artistic interests, concerns and strategies.
While there’s an element of conceptualism to Body Language Vol. 7, it’s also a resoundingly pleasure-centric mix, one dedicated to exploring the sensuous side of cutting edge dancefloor music.
In Body Language Vol. 7, Matthew Dear has produced something far more timeless, complex and artistically significant than a mere mix compilation.
It’s both a powerful, compelling snapshot of today’s electronic music vanguard, and an intimate journey into the creative heartcore of Matthew himself, shot through with pop panache and a propulsive, party-minded momentum that is very, very…house.
What we have here, ladies and gentleman, is a new kind of Body Language altogether.

On October 24th the seventh edition of Get Physical’s prestigious Body Language mixes will hit the shops.
Successor of the Junior Boys will be Detroit’s techno wonderboy Matthew Dear.
Although Matthew Dear has been busy touring the world with his Big Hands band-project and of course to destroy dancefloors worldwide with his Audion live-sets, he managed to select and mix a “very personal mix of meaty and floor-oriented house grooves”.
What that exactly means, is still up for speculation, as there is no tracklisting available yet. But it sounds as if he is opting for a rather coherent mix without too many leftfield surprises.
But who knows?
An exclusive Matthew Dear track, called Free To Ask , will definitely be part of the mix-compilation.[via Beatportal]
