Noel Gallagher saved a former Bond girl’s dog from being stolen from outside a supermarket near his central London home. The Oasis man shouted at the dog-nappers after he had seen the pooch going on walkies without Caroline Munroe , who starred in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. She showered him with thanks after the incident. A neighbour said: "Noel was so brave – the blokes could have been carrying knives but he just didn’t care"  Madferrit!

Possibly the ultimate mash-up (ahem) artists of the late twentieth century Oasis have added their, as yet, unreleased new album Dig Out Your Soul in its entirety on their myspace profile – which means you can listen for free!  This is more than just a return to form and has the makings of a classic album (even if like most of their work you do get a sense of De ja vu). To Be Where There’s Life’ is one song I would pick out as a future mash-up classic with the Indian/psychedelic influences and laid back grove just waiting for something barely legal to get tucked up in bed beside them. If listening to a whole album stretches your attention span (what with so much good free stuff at APC it happens) check the new video, The Shock Of The Lightning for a flavour:
