YouTube created its own music playlist maker, the YouTube Music Discovery Project. It’s currently on  TestTube (YouTube’s labs) and basically its a searchbox when you can enter artist names, hit the disco button and you can organise video playlists from the results. The searching is not the most sophisticated yet,  the system is not recognizing many artists, but quite fun to make some tests with it.

The late Tupac Shakur has made the cut for The Vatican’s Playlist. Tupac’s song Changes is one of 9 entries on the MySpace page for Pope Benedict XVI’s album Alma Mater: Music From The Vatican. Ghetto Heaven!

Bersa Discos is a label based in both Buenos Aires and San Francisco, run by Oro11 and Disco Shawn who realized that many of the cumbia songs they were hearing in Argentina were not given a proper release. Bersa Discos was launched to change all that. Check out their splendid cumbia playlist, a certified dancefloor explosion. Clinton Schaff compiled 25 of his fave butt themed songs into this nice playlist. The tracks are organized by genre, so you can easily find the blues, jazz, funk, hip-hop or country butt songs! Ah in case if you are wondering what is on the post illustration, then I tell you. This lovely painting is called Tulip Butts. The artist, Stan Murmur works in a very special way, he is dipping his butt in paint and pressing it to a canvas. Genius!

After setting the scene alight with numerous killer singles, Israeli producer Guy J releases his hotly anticipated full length artist album with label heavyweights, Bedrock Records.

Guy J has emerged over the course of the last two years to represent an intrinsic part of the Israeli dance music juggernaut that has been steadily powering through clubland in recent times.
