where the producers have no name NME lists 21 Unlikely Mash-Ups
Giving credit is so basic. For mashup producers credit, seeing their names all over the internet is the only benefit from the late night sessions and countless hours in the front of their computers. Mashups are really popular these days, so no wondar that teher are a lot of sideeffects. There are many attempts of third party challengers who are using mashups for their own aims. Youk know they are free, they are just on the internet all over, so its obvious. Mashup thieves who rename the files and act like the creatiors of the mixes. Fake labels who press vinyls from other ppl's mashups and sell them. And there are webistes who make funny collections for various reasons and they don't give credits for teh producers. Like this NME article , I guess they wanted to do something kool, or they needed some extra content urgently. Doesn't matter cos they made a great selection. But giving no credits ruins the whole ting, and its just one more wacky Jay-Z hype post. Nothing is wrong with Jay-Z and hype, but I guess he doesn't need this kind of publicity. Come on NME, come on Luke Lewis, its never too late. Give credits, just let us know if you need help ;)
