A rare recording of an allegedly drunk John Lennon performing Lloyd Prices "Just Because " has gone under the hammer for $30,000. The six minute recording was made over the infamous 'lost weekend' period when Lennon left Yoko and moved to La la Land. The recording features Lennon improvising lyrics including " Just a little cocaine will set me right… Wanna take all them new singers, Carol and the other one with the nipples, I wanna take them and hold 'em tight…"
