CHILLY GONZALES: Ivory Tower album 30th August
Chilly Gonzales returns with his first official UK full length release since Solo Piano in 2006. Ivory Tower, an ambitious, intelligent and typically of Chilly, fun album, is also companion to a feature film of the same name starring Tiga and Peaches as well as himself. Ratatat's live performance was a slap in the face. The duo from New-York was true to their reputation and to their album… Epic, electric, and a bit psychedelic! Mike Stroud and Evan Mast are true hardcore musicians that transported the audience to higher grounds thanks to perfect mastery of their instruments and the use of mind-blowing background visuals. The two rockers don't fake their stage antics, they truly live their music: Stroud is one with his guitar – must see his limbo-esque moves, while Mast floats through the smoke-filled stage to tweak all his instruments and occasionnally beat on his drum, like a conductor. I think you get our point: powerful electro/rock. Respect.

Do you remember the last Ratatat video ? That hacked Paul Simon piece? Well, They did it again, this time the one and only Swedish Quartett was the victim.
I remember the first time when I saw this Paul Simon video. I had no idea who the hell the other guy in the white jacket was, but who cared. Years, many years later I was doing an interview with a really famous rock star We were talking about his fave videos and he confessed that he always thought that the guy in the white jacket is Paul Simon. Of course this has nothing to do with the new Ratatat video, but this was the first thing what came to my mind when I started to watch it. This is a huge APC fave ATM girlz n boyz, you will like it too! Dope!
