Oh yes. This is not brand new. Well, this is not new at all, but we just found it during thesetup of the AudioPorn TV’s YouTube Channel. You can find it there too, but we are kind guys and we embed it to this post as well ;) Roisin Murphy covering Standing In The Way Of Control by The Gossip on Transmission (October 6, 2007).

Roisin Murphy‘s new single is called Movie Star. So it was quite logical to shoot a movie influenced video, we guess. Finally it turned out to be a homage to a lot of B-movies, most notably the works of John Waters. Especially the Divine lookalike and the giant shrimp are allusions to Water’s Multiple Maniacs where Divine is raped by a lobster [scene]. But to show you how colourful Roisin is, we have two more videos, both live performances ofthis very same song. Its so nice how different can one song be, even performed by the same artist.
