Adrian Smith’s new Jackson guitar was stolen after the Iron Maiden show in Athens on Saturday night.

The band posted a message on their homepage, they are asking the help of the Maiden fans to find the instrument. – Can all Maiden fans please be on the lookout for the guitar.
It will be extremely hard to get rid of as it’s the only one in the world.
There will be a reward of a Maiden tour jacket and I’m sure a hand written letter of thanks from Adrian for anyone with information leading to the recovery of the guitar. -

For about a year and a half I lived in a sketchy section Oakland. My car was broken into on a weekly basis. I didn’t really care much about it wen I had a car I didn’t really care much about, but when I traded up I actually cared. In the first week I had it, it was broken into and the radio was stolen. I vowed my radio would never be stolen again. Here’s how I fool the theives.

The gravestone of former Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis has been stolen from a Cheshire cemetery. Curtis was 23 when he hanged himself in the kitchen of his Macclesfield home in May 1980, shortly before the band were due to go on tour in the US.

Cheshire Police said his memorial stone was taken from where he is buried in Macclesfield Cemetery.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information on its whereabouts to contact them.

Detectives said the stone, which has the inscription "Ian Curtis 18 – 5 – 80" and the words "Love Will Tear Us Apart" was taken sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

A police spokesman said: "There is no CCTV in the area and there are no apparent leads as to who is responsible for the theft.

"This is a very unusual theft and I am confident that someone locally will have knowledge about who is responsible or where the memorial stone is at present."[via BBC News]
