Cassius is back. This week sees the release of their new EP, titled The Rawkers on – wait for it – Ed Banger Records. Embracing a slightly retro and old school electro approach, the EP’s full of surprises and one or two exquisite little gems.

The first single is “I Love You So”. But to be quite honest, I doesn’t really do it for me. Not yet. I’ll have a closer look at the remixes and get back to you. BUT. The rest of the stuff is dead cool. So, here’s another little teaser for you instead – the opening track “Brotherhood”. Much more in line with the standards I expect from messieurs Zdar and Boom Bass.

It’s been a long time coming – it surfaced very early 2010 – but the past few months there hasn’t been a single music interested person I’ve met who hasn’t been totally gaga for neo-soul sensation Aloe Blacc and his lovely lead theme to HBO hit How To Make It In America, ”I need a dollar”. And rightfully so. He evokes the likes of Bobby Womack and Bill Withers with his blend of soul, jazz, r’n'b and whatnot, and deserves all the attention and acclaim he can get. Most recently for his spanking new album, “Good things”.

Here’s “I need a dollar” in what most be the most unexpected blend this year. German fave and upcoming star Marco Niemerski, more known as Tensnake, has given it the onceover and turned it into a loungy progressive chill out trip. The jury’s still out, but I really like both Blacc and Tensnake, so I suppose I like this as well. Even if I’d chose the original any day.

I’m sure that you noticed the sexy bar on the bottom of the window, yeah thats a music player. We switched to the latest Streampad player, which plays each posted mp3 from APC. It picks up the latest tracks from our feed, so when you arrive just start it and you will be able to hear all the latest music we posted. Streampad is around for a while and they were/are always the pioneers of the online music players. Visit them and get a SP playa for your site! This current version what we are using is the BETA of the Streampad WordPress plugin , it picks up the new tracks so fast, can be used in a popup and looks sexy.  We like it big time, how about you? Bliss feat. Boy George – American Heart

Danish duo Bliss releases a brand new album, No One Built This Moment on April 27th 2009.

Up until the last minute Bliss was unsure if they would succeed at getting Boy George on board, but finally an e-mail ticked in that read ’You can call me tonight’. And so it happened that Boy George features on the fourth Bliss album with the catchy track American Heart.
