Love Is Not Pop, El Perro Del Mar’s third album is out now in Australia and New Zealand by Rogue Records/Inertia. It was produced by El Perro Del Mar together with the excellent Rasmus Hägg of  Studio. The album is also due to be released in the US by The Control Group on October 20th.
Change of Heart is the first single and we can’t wait to hear more.

Dan Lissvik – Practice [mp3 ]

Last year Dan Lissvik of Studio released a solo album, it is the 7 Trx + Intermission, beautiful stripped down disco grooves with oriental guitar melodies. Practice was one of the first tracks what Dan did for this project, but this song never made it to the album. Now he teamed up with Mind on the Run to released it, and we can’t be thankful enough.

We already posted up the video of When I Grow Up , which is the upcoming single from Fever Ray. But hey look!  Dan Lissvik of Studio made an outstanding remix, changing the dark and eerie original into a slice of light balearicpop piece with panflutes and children’s voices in the background.
There is no better way to start the weekend ;)

Third, the latest album from Portishead has been out for a couple of months now, to much critical acclaim. It's a darker and less commercial record than previous but still seems to have done well in many countries.

Nick Batt from Sonic State popped over to guitarist, synth-freak and co-producer Adrian Utley's  crib to have a chat about synthesizers, studio stuff and to take a look around. Very inspiring, it's worth every second!
