APC faves Suck Shaft are back. This time with a killer remix of Nora’s Recall.  Nora was picked as “artist of the month” at P3LAB, Swedish National Radio’s show for up and coming artists. Suck Shaft transforms Nora’s smooth, soothing, mellow Recall into the boys’ trademark mean electro based wotsit. And yes the killer bass is still around.

What’s more, Suck Shaft finally found some time to complete their Promo-CD, which they now are giving away for free to all fans (the shipping is on you tho). The record contains 13 tracks and is limited to 1000pcs. Head over to their MySpace and order plus catch up on all the details.

APC favorites Suck Shaft are back! This time with a remix for Swedish indietronica newcomers Baron Bane, a collective of artists including both musicians and designers and what nots.

It finds the dynamic duo expanding their scope, with a much darker soundscape and grittier beats than we’ve grown accustomed to. A dark, moody trip with a vibe reminiscent of The Knife and other darker acts. But the killer bass is ever so cool and grips you from the start – and never lets go…

So you thought you've heard all the remixes of Lykke Li's "Little Bit". Well, think again. As x-mas is just around the corner, we thought we'd treat you to an early x-mas gift. You might remember the fabulous "Touchy touchy" from a while back. Yes, kids, APC favorites Ludvig Parment & Johan Busk a.k.a. Suck Shaft are back! This time with a killer remix of… wait for it – Lykke Li's "Little Bit"!

"We really like the original, but we feel we cannot drop it in our sets" says Johan. "Same thing with the many remixes out there. They feel unnatural and just don't cut it."

Says Ludvig "Since Lykke Li's sound is a bit unpolished, just like ours, and we apparently share the same passion for hooks, we thought we'd give it a try on our own. And I'd say we did a pretty good job of it." Johan concurs and adds "Seems like her fans agree – because we've got a lot of good feedback from them on this." 

I'm not surprised. Bloody brilliant, it is. Staying true to the original, while adding the trademark Suck Shaft schticks. Watch out for the bass! Go forth – take the jump – and see for yourself. Amen.

Suck Shaft – Touchy Touchy [mp3 ]

Look what the Cat dragged in… This little special feature might be the  perfect starter for your Friday night. At least the music that goes with it.

Suck Shaft is a new exciting dj/producer duo from Sweden who are destined for greatness. Close friends since 2003, Ludvig Parment & Johan Busk have been producing music, mostly hip-hop, ever since then. Tired of Stockholm, they moved to Manchester last year, when Ludvig was offered a bartender job over there.

"I just grabbed my computer, my Moog, my turntables and rushed there as soon as I got the offer" says Ludvig. "And I tagged along" continues Johan.
