Young dutch designer Patrick Schuur created this one and only cassette tape closet. It was built with 918 cassette tapes that are individually screwed onto a wooden frame and can be used for both an office space divider and storage closet. The closet is up for sale on Ebay, place your bid !!!

Once upon a time a cassette tape was a passport to blowing a Sunday afternoon making "The Best Rock Collection in the World Ever II", nowadays a computer the same size can power a space station (and store your whole music collection). That’s technology for you. Something had to be done with all those redundant cassettes, and in a wonderfully retro meets techno moment, a bright spark has neatly inserted a quad set of USB ports into it. Now you can power up all your myriad of USB devices with a blast from the past. There may no longer be tape hanging randomly from telegraph poles around the country anymore, but the icon can live on on your desktop.

This weekend, you have time to do things around the house and probably you even have time for some music recycling ;) Well to make some crafting fun with useless old CD’s and tapes. Green Living Expert Danny Seo has two eco-friendly ideas for you. Make dumbbells from your old CD’s for stylish workout and surprise your loved one with some TapeRobots storage containers what you can easily make from cassettes and cans. Go, make them!!

NGC have brought the iconic 80′s Boom Box up to date with these Boom Bags, a stylishly designed bag that cleverly hides an FM radio and set of speakers allowing you to connect your MP3, mobile phone or CD player for your tunes on the go.
The Boom Bag lets you share your music whenever and wherever you are. Simply plug in your music player using the lead provided and you have an instant stereo. Not only that but it looks pretty cool too with either a retro 8 track or decks and mixer design. Leaving aside various species of the Walkman, which can be heard only with earphones, the boom box is the most popular choice for portable sound. You no longer need your earphones to enjoy your music on the go with this speaker and bag combo!
These transformers have been prehistorically mutated. No longer robots in disguise, these pop rocking treats transform from mixed tape to dinosaur and back again.
Project C-90 is dedicated to cassette tapes. There you won’t find any kind of scientific research, technical data or things like that. They have a massive virtual collection already, if you have something which is not there, be something and send it to them! [via Create Digital Music]
