The stolen truck that contained Iggy Pop’s equipment has been recovered in Canada, but all the equipment is missing.
Montreal police found the truck Tuesday afternoon, and reported that practically everything had been taken from the vehicle, apart from a few mike stands.
The truck contained over $20,000 worth of equipment, much of which is marked with serial numbers, which could make it harder to sell.
Police are checking the truck for fingerprints and seeking possible witnesses in the theft.{via NME]

Iggy and the Stooges had their gear stolen on Aug. 4 outside the Embassy Suites hotel in Montreal. The band had played the Osheaga Festival in Montreal the night before.
The truck and all backline equipment were stolen. Iggy and the Stooges have a show Wednesday night at Toronto’s Massey Hall and will purchase and rent replacement gear for the remaining three dates of the tour, according to Fischer.
According to the band, all the equipment was in a rented Penske 15-foot yellow truck with Michigan plates number AC46493. The theft happened in the morning, they say, between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. EST.
Among the missing equipment is a red road case containing:
- a red Gibson 1963 EB-3 bass
- a black road case containing a volcano black Reverend Flying V guitar
- a black road case containing a Reverend orange guitar
- two black road cases containing Marshall vintage amplifiers
- several Marshall 4-by-12 cabinets
- an orange Calzone road case containing guitar pedal board and pedals
- a Gretsch silver sparkle Catalina drum kit and drum heads
- a green clamshell suitcase containing Yamaha drum pedals and Zildjian cymbals
- two mic stands
- assorted strings and spares
- two Boss chromatic tuners
- a Crybaby wah
- tuner pedals
- a tambourine and maracas, tools, and many other items.
Pictures of the stolen gear can be seen here. Anyone with any information regarding this gear should contact Stooges tour manager Eric Fischer at nycentral13@gmail.com. [via Billboard]
