APC TOP 10 – February
« Illegal Sunday Loo Placido – Betty got Jacked | main | Monday Kick bananarama »February is the shortest month, but it was very very very long here on APC. We had a lotta great stuff, so we could easily make a TOp 50 as well. But this is a cruel world, so we keep the TOP 10 format. But this is the last APC TOP 10 in this current form, cos in March we will have a brand new new chart system, focusing on each category and involving more cummunity action. More about all this later, now let’s see what were the biggest APC faves in this month.

Copycat
1. Apollo Zero – When Radioactive Doves Cry (Prince/Kraftwerk/PSB) [link]
One of those mash-ups you know you gonna love just by seeing the title. Simply brilliant.
2. Toy Toy – Fuck my boyfriend [link]
Brilliant electro punk wotsit, with attitude, mean guitars and even meaner synths. Stay tuned.
3. Sophia Somajo – I-rony [link]
The new Robyn. But bedroom produced. Huge. Stay tuned II.
4. Adiam Dymott – Miss you [link]
Extraordinary debut single from Sweden’s Adiam Dymott. Best rock tune this year – so far.
5. Celebrity Murder Party – Blue Rinse (New Order vs Rose Royce) [link]
6. A + D – Stardust kids (Bowie vs MGMT) [link]
Ingenious mash-up from Bootie’s dynamic duo. Splendid
7. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart – Come Saturday [link]
Noisy pop punk combo from Brooklyn, NY with a hint of Belle & Sebastian, My Bloody Valentine – and the Ramones.
8. Pet Shop Boys – Love etc. [link]
Pet Shop Boys is Pet Shop Boys. Even a squelch from them would make my list. This one’s a grower!
9. Lilith the Kitten – Rave Invaders [link]
Prodigy of the old Prodigy? I think Liam should give Lilith a call…
10. The Kleptones – Who Cares? (Bale Out remix) [link]
Insane. The best of the Bale remixes out there.
